What do you do each day to be a “healthy boomer”?

Start the day with some deep breathing – do 10 slow deep abdominal breaths.  Relax and draw the oxygen down to your toes and the let it go gently – filling every cell of your body.

Then do your gratitudes – what do you have to be grateful for – repeat it out loud – come up with at least 5 things to be grateful for – anything from you are happy to be alive to happy to get out of bed!   Say whatever resonates with you this morning.  Make it fun – you will feel happy and enthusiastic to be alive.

Get out of bed and do some exercise - stand, stretch side to side, touch your toes, move your body and get that blood circulating.  This is a start – enroll in a gym, or do tai chi, or yoga – find the type of exercise that works best for you.  Healthy boomers keep moving – dancing, running, walking – get out and live!

Healthy boomers eat well - breakfast is a must – eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper!  Have your supplements before, with the meal – anti-aging foods and juices can play an important part of your daily routine.  A good breakfast ought to consist of some juice, fruit, grains, and or some protein.  Be sure to chew your food!!!  Sometimes we get in a rush to start our day or whatever and forget to chew.

How often do you have tired, achy feet?  Have you ever wondered about natural pain relief?  Reflexology could be your anwer.  Reflexology is applying pressure to various points on the feet and stimulating the corresponding organ through the central nervous system.

This stimulation leads to various responses within the body – mainly putting the person into a very relaxed state – parasympathetic state – a state of healing, rest and repair.

Frequent reflexology may offer not just natural pain relief for your feet but also for your whole being.  Reflexologists believe that every organ, gland and part of the body is reflexly related and by applying pressure on these points you may feel less tense, improving pain relief.

This therapy may:

  • improve circulation
  • release stress and tension
  • bring the body into balance

Reflexology is recommended as a therapy for natural pain relief.
